Senior Spotlight: Talon Komesetaddle

Elgin Owl Talon Komesetaddle is a nose guard on the high school football team and is in Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

He has accomplishments both off and on the field, and currently has A’s and B’s.

“I was a honor roll in middle school,” Komesetaddle said. “I was player of the game in Dallas, and whenever we went to, we went to Dallas Stadium and literally…won player of the game there.”

He hopes to attend the state championship this year.

As for the things Komesetaddle will miss after graduation…

“Pretty much everything… like practicing and the games and…just being around all the teammates and stuff,” he said.

Komesetaddle hopes to play football in college.

“Other than that, I might go to Vo-Tech or something for a couple years and learn trade,” he said.

Komestaddle’s main goal is to play for The University of Oklahoma and pursue a business degree.

“My main goal would be OU. That's like… my favorite school I like to watch,” he said. “But I've gotten a couple of camp invites from like Ouachita Baptist in Arkansas and different schools from there.”

Komesetaddle said he’ll most likely want to learn how to wield because he doesn’t like being inside that much.

As for keeping up with his heritage…

“I go to…all the powwows. Most of them, not all of them…and then…just my family…my grandma cooks a lot of Native American food,” Komesetaddle said. “I live like right next to my cousin. He does all, he goes to powwows and dances and stuff, so I'll go watch him and go watch him sing and stuff.”

Being close to family is a learning experience for him.

“They teach me a lot…just always learning from them is, and they're always there, so it's like anytime I want to just go over there and learn from them and do all the stuff they do,” Komestaddle said.

His favorite Native American meal is an Indian taco.

As for Komesetaddle’s hobbies…

“My main hobby is fishing, probably. I go fishing like every day or when I can. Other than that, maybe like playing a game, play college football a lot, but yeah, fishing probably mainly,” he said.

Komesetaddle used to fish with his dad during the summer when he was younger, and his favorite part was catching a fish.
