My name is Tatum Mallory Burgess, and I am 15 years old and in the 9th grade at Cache High School. I was previously the 2022-2023 SR. Walters Service Club Princess and the 2023-2024 JR. Walters Service Princess. I live in Cache, Oklahoma with my parents, Kenny and Tanisha Burgess, my sister Rebecca, my brother Cruz, and my niece’s Taleah and Gloria. I have an older brother, Kaelan Burgess, who is currently serving in the United States Army and stationed at Ft. Carson, CO. I am a proud enrolled member of the Comanche Nation and of Otoe-Missouria and Kiowa descent.

My maternal grandparents are Retired U.S. Army SFC Richard and the late Norma (Cable) Adame of Mayetta, Kansas. My Great- Grandparents are Lavera Belle of Mayetta, Kansas and the late Vernon Sr. and Gloria (Wermy) Cable. My Great-great Grandparents are the late Josie and Bert Cable Sr. and the late John D. Wermy and Agnes (Atauvich) Wermy.

My paternal grandparents are Retired U.S. Air Force SSG Donald and Roberta (Kerchee) Burgess of Lawton, Oklahoma and the late Rebecca Boyiddle Burgess of Carnegie, Oklahoma. My great grandparents are the late Earl Burgess Sr. and Daisy (Perdasofpy) Burgess, the late Rev. Melvin and Mary Boyiddle and the late Melvin Sr. and Nettie Kerchee.

I am on the high school wrestling team for Cache High School Team and play Golf. My hobbies are listening to music, singing Comanche Hymns, I love Gourd Dancing and dancing at powwows. I am fan of North Carolina, Go Tarheels!! I know my traditional Comanche ways and I attend Comanche Language Classes.

I want to be a good leader, be a good influence and be positive role model for my peers. Both of my parents come from large Comanche families and have been raised Comanche through my teachings in song, dance language and other teachings.
