Mission

It is the mission of Comanche Nation Child Support to promote responsible parenting so that each child has the opportunity for self-sufficiency and self-respect that honors family, community, and cultural traditions.

Services

Comanche Nation Child Support:

  • Establishes and maintains support orders
  • Ensures paternity is established for children
  • Locates absent parents and collects child support
  • Mediates for a family in crisis

Requirements

  1. Child(ren)’s CDIB card(s)

  2. Driver’s license

  3. Certified child(ren)’s birth certificate

  4. Social security cards;

  5. Divorce decree or any other order from a judge regarding child support

  6. Any other orders regarding the custody of the child

  7. Paternity affidavit, if applicable

  8. All EPOs or VOPs must be in the file.

Service Area

The Comanche Nation Child Support Program not only serves the eleven (11) counties within the Comanche Nation Jurisdiction: Comanche, Caddo, Cotton, Stephens, Kiowa, Tillman, Jefferson, Grady, Jackson, Harman, and Greer.

Also, the Comanche Nation Tribal Court shall have jurisdiction over the establishment of paternity, initial establishment of child support orders, modification of child support orders of the Comanche Nation Tribal Court, and enforcement of child support orders of the Comanche Nation Tribal Court or of courts who orders have been registered in the Comanche Tribal Court that involve persons subject to the Court’s jurisdiction as set forth in the program’s code:

  • A member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma
  • A child(ren) who is a member or is eligible for membership in the Comanche Nation
  • Any member of an Indian Tribe who resides within the Comanche Nation Indian Country, as defined in the Comanche Children and Family Relations Code 2008 Chapter 1 107
  • All other parties who consent to the jurisdiction of the Comanche Nation Tribal Court. As part of the Comanche Children and Family Relations Code 2008 and Comanche Nation Child Support Procedures, everyone within the Comanche Nation’s jurisdiction shall have the right to receive services from the Comanche Nation Child Support Program.
