Senior Spolight: Lanai Tselee

First baseman for Fort Cobb High School Lady Mustangs softball, and senior, Lanai Tselee, is a Comanche Tribal Member.

In 2025, she made the State Quarterfinals in slow-pitch and two area semifinalists in basketball. In 2024 and 2023, Tselee earned the Softball Academic Award.

She’s also in the Native American Club, has made ribbon skirts and will sometimes go to powwows.

Tselee said her most significant accomplishment was making it to State.

“Probably last year we made it to state like…for the first time, I think in…15 years maybe,” she said.

Tselee said it felt great to break the cycle of not going every year and hopes to make it back again this year.

As for the things she will miss…

“Probably just my playing and like my friends and everything,” Tselee said. “Which I'll still see them, but just like playing with them and being on the same field and court with them.”

She said she’s still undecided about what she’ll pursue in college, but knows she’ll be attending after graduation.
