About Fire/EMS
The Comanche Nation Fire Department is a non-profit, full-time Fire and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department based in Lawton, Oklahoma. In 2023, the department attained designation as an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) agency and has since enhanced its collaboration with Tribal Law Enforcement and has attained Automatic Aid Agreements with multiple local Fire Departments and Volunteer Fire Departments.
Currently, the department comprises four authorized personnel responsible for serving nine counties. Our resources include three brush trucks, three response vehicles, one engine, and two Utility Task Vehicles (UTVs).
The Comanche Nation Fire Department stands ready to provide assistance whenever required.
The Emergency Medical Standby Request Application is used to request any medical or fire personnel for any tribal event.
The Controlled Burn Request serves to initiate a prescribed burn on land that is owned by a tribal member. Our team will perform a comprehensive site assessment and develop a detailed plan for the burn when weather conditions are deemed suitable.
