Teams Tip Off at Comanche County Basketball Tournament

Comanche County Basketball Tournament tipped off on Monday, January 19, at Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Walters Lady Blue Devils faced Tipton Tigers, and Lady Blue Devil JT Aguilera would get her name on the board, with a final score of Walters 74, Tipton 36.

Fletcher and Sterling were next on the hardwood with Sterling Lady Tigers’ Ayanna Mithlo sinking two, and the game ending Fletcher 53, Sterling 34.

Indiahoma faced Chattanooga with Indiahoma’s Laila Tissychy and Maddie Koweno getting their names on the board with a final score of Chattanooga 53, Indiahoma 22.

Big Pasture and Geronimo closed out the night with Geronimo Lady Blue Jay Abbey Huffman sinking a three. The final score was Geronimo 37, Big Pasture 27.

The boys began their night on Tuesday, January 20, with Indiahoma Warriors facing Big Pasture Rangers, with Warrior Tristan Locklear sinking a three. The final score was Rangers 55, Warriors 51 in overtime.

Chattanooga Warriors and Tipton Tigers took it to the hardwood with Warrior Evan Waqua laying up two. The game would end Chattanooga 92 to Tipton 29.

Geronimo Blue Jays and Fletcher Wildcats would go into overtime in their game, with Blue Jay Dayson Gomez laying up two, with a final score of Fletcher 63 to Geronimo 60.

Sterling Tigers and Walters Blue Devils would finish the night with Blue Devil Trevin Reed putting his name on the board. The game would end Sterling 61 to Walters 58.

Teams will face off on Thursday, January 22, beginning at 10 a.m. due to inclement weather, with games alternating between girls’ and boys’ teams.
