Comanche Cache Casino Celebrates Year of Operation
Comanche Nation Cache Casino celebrated its first birthday since the grand reopening on Thursday, February 12.
According to General Manager Brian Weryavah, the team has put in a lot of work since the opening.
“It's basically a celebration of Comanche Cache to the Cache community and the surrounding area,” he said. “It's a celebration of our team members and…all the hard work that my management team and my team did over the last year. It's a celebration of our community, and it's also, you know, another celebration for, you know, another one of our properties for Comanche Nation Entertainment.”
Weryavah is no stranger to Comanche Nation’s casino business, as he worked at four of the five properties. Weryavah was a general manager at Red River and loved the team he worked with.
“But once I came to Cache and…got to be around my management team and all the hours of work that we put in to get open last year…we were working 16 to 18-hour days, and how all of our managers came together to…for one goal,” he said. “It just feels like home.”
The day was filled with events, including a meet-and-greet with Paul Wahlberg.
“He jumped on board as soon as we started planning for our anniversary, and he was, ‘Yeah, I'm in.’ and he got in, and he'll be here till the very end of our day today,” Weryavah said.
Comanche Cache Casino also had hot seats and giveaways for Wahlburgers and other vendors.
