How to Report Suspected Child Abuse or Neglect

Must Report?

Every person in Oklahoma who has reason to believe that a child under 18 has been abused or neglected or is in danger of being abused or neglected is required by law to make a report promptly.

Failure to report child abuse is a misdemeanor offense. A person who reports suspected abuse in "good faith" is immune from criminal or civil liability.

To Report?

There are a few options for reporting suspected child abuse or neglect.

If you or the person you are making a report on DOES NOT live on tribal land, please call the State Hotline at 1-800-522-3511

If you or the person you are making a report on DOES live on tribal land, please call Comanche Nation CPS at 580-583-7409

If you're unsure whom to call, you can always reach out to ICW, and a staff member will take your report and forward it to the appropriate individuals.
