bus_jpeg As soon as one walks into the newly renovated Comanche Nation Casino, obvious changes surrounds them. A plush carpet, lavish seats and the colorful atmosphere of gold, purple and blue immediately creates a Las Vegas style appeal.

The theme will also be added to the other three casinos for an identifiable look.

Other amenities that are new include a new sign and outdoor work to the building and a free shuttle to pick up customers at local hotels. A new HVAC system keeps the air circulated to filter the cigarette smoke better.

The Player’s Club has also been upgraded through a IGT Advantage System, which can turn points earned into purchasing merchandise or hotel compensation, said Roxie Oberly, Players Club manager. The more a member plays, the more they can earn.

She added 14,000 players have been added to the Players Club in four months. Prior to that there was only 10,000 the first five years the casino had the player incentive club.

The 600 games offer players more variety in their entertainment. New games have been added and they are analyzed and changed out every 60-90 days to keep the newest games available to players. More table games have been added that include blackjack, Texas Hold ‘Em, and Three Card Poker.

The casino is now open to those 18-years and older to cater to the local Ft. Sill soldiers, said Marketing director Billy Ray Burt. The Ante Up Lounge has been approved for a liquor licence and will provide mixed drinks by the beginning of the new year.

The casino’s employment is 30 percent Comanche Tribal Members and 45 percent Native American Tribal Members of the 280 employees. They have about a $10 million annual payroll, according to Phillip Glass, General Manager.

The Opening Celebration of the renovation continued Dec. 29 with tribal members getting a first hand experience of the casino and Dec. 30 Motown Classics; The Platters, The Coasters, and The Marvelettes performed.
