Optometry

The Comanche Nation Optometry Program offers free eye exams and/or contact lens exams for tribal members only. One of our goals is to provide preventive eye care management for Diabetic patients through a complete over-all eye exam. Also, we offer eye exams for school age children before the school year begins, and supply you with a free-trial pair of contact lens if you are a candidate for wearing contacts. However, we do not sale contacts from this office.

You must make an appointment through our office and provide us a copy of your CDIB (certificate of Degree of Indian Blood) and be an enrolled Comanche member.

After receiving your prescription(s) you can order glasses through our office. If you are receiving assistance through the Diabetes Program you will be ordering glasses through this office, and will be eligible for a voucher up to and not to exceed $100.00. If you are not diabetic and as a tribal member you might be eligible to receive $50.00 from the Prescription Assistance Program and you will be required to go to the Prescription Assistance Program to order our glasses or contacts lens. The Prescription Assistance is located in the double-wide trailer on the far North-West side of the complex, just west of the Commodity building.

If you have any questions please call the office at 580-492-3209, or the toll free number 1-877-492-4988.
