Comanche Nation Election VolunteerPoll Monitor Application For Primary Election on April 2010. Applications must be received in the Comanche Nation Election Board Office no later than the above deadline. For more information contact us: Comanche Nation Election Board Office Volunteer Election Poll Monitors Poll monitors shall serve as witnesses to the Comanche Nation election process. There shall be poll monitors at each of the six (6) Comanche Nation voter polling sites and tabulation site. The Comanche Nation Business Committee shall choose up to two (2) volunteer poll monitors at each polling site, for a total of twelve (12), and shall choose two (2) alternates in case the chosen poll monitors cannot be reached or cannot serve for any reason. From the twelve (12) poll monitors chosen, the Comanche Nation Business Committee shall choose six (6) to serve as poll monitors at the tabulation site. Poll monitors shall be members of the Comanche Nation, shall be eligible to vote in Comanche Nation elections, and shall not be paid for their services. Eligible voters of the Comanche Nation wishing to volunteer for a poll monitor position may request an application from the Comanche Nation Election Board (CNEB) Office at anytime. The poll monitor application must be received in the CNEB Office by mail or fax no later than applicable deadline for primary or run-off elections. Poll monitors shall NOT be allowed to serve as poll monitors in two (2) consecutive election processes (for instance, a primary election and a run off-election, or run-off election and the next primary election. |
ChairmanThe Chairman shall be the Chief Executive of the Comanche Nation exercising the authorities and powers as delegated to his office by this constitution and the Comanche Tribal Council. He shall preside at all meetings of the Tribal Council and the Business Committee and be the principal member of all tribal delegations. When so authorized by the Comanche Tribal Council, he shall sign necessary papers and instruments for the Comanche Nation. Vice-ChairmanThe Vice-Chairman shall perform the duties of the Chairman in the event of the temporary absence or disability of the Chairman or when it is determined according of Article VIII, Section 2 that a hearing for removal of the Chairman is deemed necessary by the Comanche Indian General Council. Secretary-TreasurerThe Secretary-Treasurer shall preside in the absence of the other officers
and shall keep records, including financial records, of the organization, shall record and
keep the minutes of the tribal council and business committee meetings in a permanent
book, and shall be responsible for sending all notices of meetings as herein required. He
shall keep copies of all such notices and requests for meetings together with a statement
by him or another officer, as the case may be, that such notices were mailed and
published as required herein and place the same in the appropriate permanent minutes
book as a preface to the minutes of the meeting so called. |
